Stratagy ES Unified Messaging Enhancements Including Fax Delivery in Adobe PDF File Format – February 2009
Toshiba is pleased to announce the release of new Stratagy® ES software that provides enhancements to
the Stratagy Enterprise Server (ES) Unified Messaging (UM) solution. The major addition is the ability to
receive incoming fax messages via Unified Messaging in Adobe® Portable Document Format (PDF). This
release is separated into separate versions to support the various hardware platforms for Stratagy ES.

Stratagy ES Unified Messaging delivers voice and fax messages to users’ desktop PC using either
Microsoft® Outlook® or other compatible email products. Voice messages are delivered as audio files and
fax messages have been delivered as Tagged Image Format (TIF) files.
 
With the release of Stratagy ES Release 5.5.25 (MAS/MicroMAS) and Release 4.7.11 (Stratagy iES16/
ES48/ES96R2) systems can be configured to deliver UM fax messages in Adobe’s PDF format. This ability
is a system-wide option, so once it is enabled, all mailboxes with Unified Messaging enabled will receive
fax messages in PDF format.

A new audio codec is included in Release 5.5.25 that supports Linear PCM (G.711). Release 4.7 equipped
systems do not currently support this option. A future release of 4.x software is planned to support Linear
PCM.

 

Toshiba and IgeaCare Systems USA Announce Agreement to Deliver Telephony-Integrated e-Call Solution to Healthcare Market - February 2009

IgeaCare’s igeacom™ emergency call (e-call) and nurse call solution is now integrated with Toshiba’s Strata® CIX™ family of IP business telephone systems. The integrated solution is sold through Toshiba’s Authorized Dealer Network nationwide as well as by IgeaCare’s sales team.
